THE beautiful village of Comrie is situated at the meeting point of three rivers - the Ruchill, the Earn and the Lednock - in the heart of
the scenic Strathearn area of Perthshire.
Known as the Shaky Village, because it lies on the Highland Boundary Fault Line, Comrie nestles on the edge of the Scottish Highlands,
amidst breathtaking scenery, making it an ideal base for exploring the many hills and glens that surround it, whether by car, bike or on foot.
Glen Turret, Glen Artney and Glen Lednock offer a variety of trails to suit everyone from the serious walker or cyclist to those just looking for a gentle stroll in spectacular surroundings.
Birdwatchers will also not be disappointed. Golden eagle, red kite and black grouse are just a few of the local birds to be found and
the osprey, redstart and pied flycatcher are regular summer visitors.
Golfers are well catered for with a host of clubs lying within easy travelling distance of the flat - from the village's nine hole course to the world class greens of Gleneagles.
If angling is your chosen past time, the River Earn offers many secluded spots in which to cast a line and the local water-baillie will be happy to point out the best stretches. Fishing
permits are availble at the Post Office.
